If you have spent any time at all trying to get traffic to your website, you know it can be a very frustrating journey. I’ve spent an enormous amount of money and time developing ways to bring a steady flow of traffic to my website. Of all the things that I’ve learned from my research one thing stands out the most – all sources of traffic are not equal. I’ve literally spent tens of thousands of dollars and put countless hours into building traffic systems that will put targeted visitors on my websites. I have tried everything from free tools, to very expensive pay-per-click advertising- and every conceivable method in-between. I found that the results are not always directly related to the amount of money you can afford to spend.
Throughout my research, I have tried many different traffic generation methods that I believed were very effective traffic building strategies. The problem with many of these systems is that they would work great for a while, and then out of nowhere would stop producing results. Of course, as my traffic fluctuated, so did my income. Another problem I encountered was the quality of traffic. When I first started building a traffic funnel to my website, I was ignorant, and was only looking for quantity of traffic. I thought, the more the people; the better result. While at some level that is correct, there is a problem in thinking only of volume.
From my experiences I’ve learned that quality of traffic is as important as quantity. I’ve also learned that the quality and quantity of prospects to your site is directly related to the traffic strategy you use. If you use good traffic generation techniques, you’re likely to get good quality targeted prospects. I’ve developed some simple rules that I follow and generate thousands of visitors to my sites. A case in point is a wedding photographer who’s opened his online shopping dealing with kids clothes and wedding gifts. He’s achieved great success.
