The last ten years has seen a huge shift in how businesses are conducted and how people make money for themselves. Previously the 9-5 business model was pretty much standard in most companies and the only alternatives were for people to run their own high street shop offering products or services. Working from home is certainly no easier than office work and lots of people still fail, but the main attraction is the improved quality of life that many people get from it. This is one reason why some of the best business men and women around the world are leaving their formal offices and doing the job from the comfort of their own home office. The rate at which home-based businesses are being set up is at an all time high, and has spawned the creation of many companies who offer advice on how to set up and run your own. The home working idea is still in its infancy really and as technology & communications continue to improve, it is likely we will see the movement grow and grow.
