Link building….what a pain! If you think much the same way as me, and I also know many SEO’s do, link building is probably the burden of your life.
So keeping that in mind, I decided to write-up about some of my favourite link building techniques.
1. Directories. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but shouldn’t be ignored or overlooked. Top SEO directories which I use as standard are Yahoo directory, Best of the Web directory and Go Guides. I normally use or recommend these regardless of the industry. After that, I would search for market relevant directories in Google and submit if free of charge or maybe seek out directories to get a relevant page with some page rank if paying.
2. Article Directories. This technique can take some time and very often agencies are used to deliver material for article submission. Google and also other search engines support numerous article directories such as ezinearticles.com, to become authoritative websites, so links can be beneficial. One other benefit with regards to article submissions is that you’re getting link development from relevant content webpages as you have drafted the article on your own so you know that it’s relevant to your posts and targeted keywords. If you are not making use of that way of thinking when writing your content, you should.
3. Guest Blog Posting. In order to find suitable guest blogs, I would suggest typing in these search query into Google:
Keyword “Guest Post”
Keyword “Guest Blog”
It will make it easier to get relevant blogs who have received guest posts before. Just find their contact information and phone them to check if you can write for their blog in return for a link back to your site. This strategy provides the similar benefit as the article writing in that you can create your own article around your targeted keywords ensuring a link back from a highly relevant web page.
4. Associates. This is a approach that is usually overlooked and I think, usually the most effective. Sometimes, it could be as basic as getting on the phone to your market associates and requesting a link building service. If you’re a supplier for other companies, make sure that you are mentioned on their sites, connect to your contacts, make an effort to create new associations with this aim in your mind. You could also search the web for prospective associates with content related to your targeted keywords and consider sponsorship, or go over other connections including offering a bargain to their customers.
