Beach Towels
If you stopped to think about the favorite towel you have in your closet, the odds are the big fluffy one you use to go to the beach or the swimming pool has a special place in your heart. If that is the case, you are not alone. For some reason, those large colorful towels often become a favorite in your towel collection and one that brings a smile to your face when it comes out for use. This is true of adults and children alike so much so that often your little ones will adore their favorite towel that they use at the beach and cuddle with it with the same affection usually reserved for their favorite pajamas or stuffed toys.
Of course, the most famous youthful towel lover was Linus from the comic strip Peanuts. His love of his towel struck a cord because children often do bond with their favorite towel. If Peanuts showed us any detail about that specific towel, the odds are it would be the one Linus enjoyed when he went to the beach or to the swimming pool each summer. There are some very good reasons we all develop such affection for this particular classification of towels.
You can get the towels you will use at the beach in all sizes. Its fun to get a set with one that is just for wiping your face after a dip in the surf, a washcloth and of course the big towel for laying on all in the same colorful design. But it is that huge towel that is big enough for you or several people to lay out on that seems to be everyone's favorite. For one thing, there is nothing like a towel you can wrap yourself up in. When that towel comes out of the dryer at home, one of the best feelings in the world is wrap completely up in it and let that dryer warmth make you feel cozy and snuggly. No other towel can get close to that feeling.
Those fun designs are another reason that these special towels become such favorites. You can get a set of special going to the beach and laying out towels in a different design for every member of the family. So dad can have his towel that celebrates his football team, mom hers in a tasteful floral design, teenage daughter can have her Hannah Montana towel and the children towels with their favorite cartoon characters and everybody is happy.
So if you discover that these simple ordinary towels that everybody loves taking to the beach have also become friends of the family over the years, celebrate that fact. And if the kids want to cuddle up with them at night, you can understand why. You might even slip your special big comfy towel out and cuddle with it too after they go off to bed.
