IKEA USA Online

IKEA USA has a website similar to their affiliates, but with a few tweaks that make it unique to the United States. Overall, however, the site is well developed and has great features that make navigating simple. If, for instance, you are looking for find great dining room furniture for your home, you simply need to select “Dining room” on the top navigation bar, and you will be taken to all of their great dining room furniture options, including beautiful contemporary dining room tables, dining chairs, stools and benches, serving utensils and even coffee and tea pots and dishes. Each of their many categories have many items to choose from – and they’re all offered through customized shipping options that allow you to pick up your items from a local warehouse store for a cheaper price. But if you want to simply have them ship the items to your home, they can do that too.

Also, as a part of the online experience, customers have a chance to interact with the one and only Anna. Anna is an animated talking head that has one goal in mind: helping you to navigate the site with the greatest of confidence. If you want to learn more about their products, ask Anna. If you want to learn more about their many services, ask Anna. And if you just want to be entertained, don’t forget to ask Anna.

When you first click on the “Ask Anna” link, you will be taken to a popup window that holds Anna, the Automated Online Assistant, who will tell you all you need to know about the retailer. There is a small box at the bottom of the window that allows you to type a question for her. Once you’ve typed your question, you click “go” then get ready to let her help you. I wanted to see how helpful Anna could be, so I typed in “find baby furniture.” Immediately, the website transferred the data most appropriate to my keyword search and brought up a section named “Children’s IKEA” which lists nursing and changing tables, sleeping furniture (beds), eating items (baby bibs, high chairs), storage bins, and play items, all for children. Anna’s popup window did not close in the process – she was still available and waiting for my next question. From that experience, it seems Anna is a nice navigational service and great addition to the website.

IKEA USA is a forerunner in the world of home furnishings, and now you’ve had a chance to understand why. It is no mistake that some people make it their mission to find one of these great stores in their area – or sometimes outside of their area. They are filled with unique designs, and even more unique prices. By visiting IKEA USA, you are guaranteed to walk out with something that you like. And if you don’t, it is only because you saw too many things you wanted and had to go to the bank to get more money!
