The IKEA Store Locator
Where are all of those great IKEA stores you’ve
been hearing about? If you really want to know you can probably ask
the next person you see walking down the street and he or she could
give you a very descriptive road map to the store closest in
proximity to where you’re standing. However, if you don’t live in
close vicinity to one of these unique home furnishing stores then
you might have to take greater strides to locate one. If you are a
traveler, you have the luxury of enjoying one of these great stores
outside of your area, if only you could find one. So like many other
retail store chains, this company has a trusted helper called the
IKEA store locator to help you out.
IKEA Store Locator
If you are looking to locate an IKEA store in
your area – or outside of your vicinity – and you have Internet
access, you can utilize their user-friendly IKEA store locator to
find any store you’re looking for.
Where most store locators allow you search for
locations within a specific radius, be it 10 or even 100 miles, IKEA
allows you to search for their stores within a 1000 mile radius –
wow! I thought some of their retails stores were within a 1000-mile
radius of water on every side – but what do I know. Either way, they
allow you to search this in this fashion, which is pretty
interesting. Being that I was incredibly curious as to what stores I
could find within a 1000-mile radius of the Midwest; I decided to
conduct my own search.
Unfortunately, my search was not as eventful as
I’d hoped. I found a lot of locations in the upper Northeast
including New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut, a few in the
southern regions including Florida and Georgia, and some in Texas. I
was truly hoping to find some outside of the United States, but my
luck ran out at our country’s border; so much for my desire to visit
IKEA stores during my world travels. I’ll just be sure to grab
multiple postal codes for future searches before traveling abroad.
Even more, in my investigation to search
locations in other countries, I found that the IKEA store locator
functions differently depending on which part of the world you are
located. Some allow you to simply select from a drop down list while
others allow you click on cities near you. But the good thing is,
overall, you can rest assured that you will find any location you
need when you need it.
Local Shuttles
In investigating this retailer even further, I
discovered even more good news. There are a few IKEA stores around
the world that have taken the initiative be an even greater IKEA
store locator. By providing access to their shuttle and trolley
services, they allow their customers front-door service to many of
their stores at a reasonable price.
For example, their Edinburgh, United Kingdom
location provides coach services aboard their Travel Dundee and
Whytes of the Aberdeen coaches. Along with the ride you receive a
free copy of the store’s catalog and a free meal voucher for their
in-store restaurant. And at the Logan (Brisbane) location in
Australia, you can catch the Logan shuttle that will drop you off in
front of the store every hour during store operations. These great
transport services make sure customers cannot say there was no IKEA
store locator available for their use – very smart!
Great Furniture, Great Prices – And So Much
More
Of course when you arrive to one of these great
stores, the true treasure is your shopping experience – and what an
experience it will be. Many of the stores have up to 30,000 square
feet of trendy products for you to browse. And you can find
everything in these stores from great dining room furniture to
anything suited for your living room. If you’re looking for a
fabulous bed for your child’s bedroom, you can find it. And if you
need to furnish the rest of the room with dressers, a mirror,
lighting, and a new rug, it is all at this great retailer. The only
thing that can hold you back from getting great furniture is you not
using the IKEA store locator to find one in your area. And if I have
yet to convince you this is something you need to do, just know I’m
not finished convincing you yet.
Some of the newer locations are stepping up
their service by giving customers a full shopping mall experience.
While you’re browsing their intense selection of furniture, you can
tote your child with you or send them over to Smĺland, a new play
area for children who meet a specific height requirement. The play
area is completely supervised, which allows you to browse casually
with the comfort of knowing that your child is having a great time
without you.
Also, if you get a little hungry, you’re in
luck. Many of the locations now offer a restaurant and café or
bistro. Some even offer a Swedish Food Market where you can buy
coffee, tea and desserts. At the restaurant, you can purchase a full
sit-down meal for you and your family, and in the café or bistro,
you can find cheaper items to help you while browsing, including
50-cent hot dogs – depending on you’re the city (or country) you’re
in.
Also, some of the US locations, including IKEA
Orlando, offer a rental van service for those customers who came to
the store with eyes bigger than their car. You may have found much
more than you expected for your budget and have decided to take it
all. This is no problem to this retailer who feels you should be
able to take home everything you desire. So for an additional $32,
you can rent one of their vans to use for up to two hours
(additional fees will incur after the two-hour period). With these
great services, they make shopping a breeze!
While having the IKEA store locator makes
finding this retailer much easier, it only helps you accomplish half
of the battle; you still have to make your way to the store and find
out for yourself why it was so important to experience the magic. So
the next time you’re looking to buy some great furniture, utilize
the handy IKEA store locator then make your way to the home
furnishing experience of a lifetime.
