St. Regis Hotel Aspen is constructed with over 800,000 Colorado red bricks. A true embodiment of the West, St. Regis Hotel Aspen has become a landmark of Aspen, Colorado. Now, with the addition of artist Jim Agius “Standing Watch” artwork – sculpture of a massive elk – gracing the entryway, St. Regis Hotel Aspen has delved deeper into the roots of the famous mountain gateaway that is Aspen.
St. Regis Hotel Aspen’s Shadow Mountain Lounge is centered on a magnificent granite fireplace. It features a baby grand piano, plush leather chairs and sofas, rich velvet multicolored striped draperies, and large picture windows that provide you with dramatic views of Aspen Mountain and Shadow Mountain.
To complement the whole Western look of old world elegance, the St. Regis Hotel Aspen feature in their public spaces natural fabrics in muted mountain colors. Wood is the word of the day and everything about St. Regis Hotel Aspen smells of it. Even the Turkish, Tibetan, and Persian rugs carry accentuations of rich wood overtones, which are all, strangely enough, complemented by modern lighting fixtures that look anything but out of place. And to top everything off, St. Regis Hotel Aspen features bronze tabletop statues of elk and bison plus a multi-million dollar art collection which include works by 19th century and contemporary artists.
The young design team of Richard and Barbara Mullen of Aspen-based Poss Interior Design were the people behind the innovative redesign of project of all guestrooms and suites of St. Regis Hotel Aspen. The Mullens have successfully incorporated all the varying elements of Aspen and key factors that make a luxurious hotel into the original design of St. Regis Hotel Aspen. In so doing, they came up with something even more astounding and wonderfully refreshing.
The St. Regis Hotel Aspen now exhibits a warm contemporary Alpine décor drawing on the colors of the sunset with guestrooms that feature a warm ambiance. Multi-colored striped carpeting perfectly match the draperies and cozy beds with ivory Frette duvet covers are accented by red bed skirts and throw blankets. The St. Regis Hotel Aspen features antiqued brown leather club chairs and red and gold damask draperies. A sleek, dark wood credenza is topped by a flat screen television – all luxuries you can well afford at the St. Regis Hotel Aspen.
